Australia Movie Premiere

Australia is a 2008 Australian epic romance film directed by Baz Luhrmann and starring Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman. The screenplay was written by Luhrmann and screenwriter Stuart Beattie, with Ronald Harwood. The film is a character story, set between 1939 and 1942 against a dramatised backdrop of events across Northern Australia at the time, such as the bombing of Darwin in Australia during World War II.

Its a good movie to watch. It'll be realsed in Malaysia on Christmas Day the 25th of December 2008. Its a classic emotional movie but yet unpredictable in someways. Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman did a wonderful job. And the storyline of the movie is nothing like Pearl Harbor movie!!
Its a 2 thumbs up from me. Rated PG13. Do watch the movie.
Its a nice movie for the family this Christmas Season. ^^

a tribute to you!!! Thank you

It's exactly 2 weeks before the end of 2008 and the new year 2009 comes in.
It has been a meaningful year for me, lots of ups and downs.
So I'm taking this time to reflect and thanking everyone that has made this year special.
Well this year has been an emotional roller coaster ride...

First I want to thank my BESTEST of FRIENDS...

I Love you peeps so much...
Thanks for getting me through the bad times and sharing with me your smiles and laughter's.
You were there for me when I was beaten down so hard till I couldn't stand anymore,
till I gave up on myself and my life.
You were there when no one was,
when the person I once loved abandoned me,
when I cried for days and nights you were more than a shoulder,
you were my strength and comfort.
You got me up again,
to believe in myself,
and gave me something a friend asked for- LOVE.

For you(s),
-Adlina--Shugesh-
-Janet- -Cecelia-
This year it has also thought me to appreciate my family more.
No matter what happens they'll be there for you.
They are the one's who knows you best.
Even though we'll have our disagreements, but
at the end of the day they'll put a smile on your face.
And THEY'LL STILL AND ALWAYS LOVE YOU FOR WHO YOU ARE.
for my family,

-my mom-

-my nephews and my sis-

-the newest member of my family- my niece-

Then also to my friends (lost and found)
Thanks for your wonderful smiles and company;
and getting me out there again enjoying life to the fullest again.

-Alex-

-Terri-

-Yvonne-

-Cecelia and Jacqueline-

New friends were made towards to the end of the year.
Thanks to nuffnang.
It's great knowing you boys and girls.
esspecially kelly, karena, rui, suresh and everyone that I got to meet...

you boys and girls
Zhi and Sara

LAST BUT NOT LEAST.... I want to THANK GOD!

Because of you,
I'm still here standing,
guiding me when I'm lost,
keeping me safe and
sending me help when I needed it.

You helped me back on the piano again,
healing my hands and my back really fast,
and you sent me your muses to help me sing with my heart again;
When it came to playing, singing and writing music.

Well the year has thought me to toughen up.
And to appreciate what you cherish most
and never take them for granted that they'll be around forever.

And I want to wish all of you out there,
A MERRY CHRISTMAS AND SOON A HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Santa's Trail Treasure Hunt @ Berjaya Times Square

Sunday 14 Dec 2008.
Mom and me entered the Santa's Trail Treasure Hunt @ Berjaya Times Square.
The hunt started at 1pm and at 1230pm we had a briefing.

The Briefing

Anxious contestants listening attentively

Well the organizer said the question was easy and standard but the hard put was actually the detailing of finding the clues.
As you guys know Berjaya Times Square is no small place.
Running up and down, in and out of shops, looking at every detail to find the clue was no easy task while trying to beat other contestants and the human traffic.
While doing the treasure hunt there was a part that we could do charity by buying a gift for a child and its part of the hunt as well. Talking bout hitting 2 birds with one stone.

Well after running about through 6 floors at the finish line I couldn't even feel my legs anymore.
So while waiting for the results mom and I chilled at Starbucks me ordering my usual caramel machiato, blueberry cheesecake and sandwiches.

This was my lunch and my tea break.
Well did we win... No... unfortunately... because of the time penalty we got.
The winners all had the same points the tie breaker was the time they came in.

The Winners

Oh well me and mom didn't go home empty handed. We got a goody bag each which is worth like 300 bucks each.

Langkawi - Day 4 - Mangrove Safari

Day 4 in Langkawi - Mangrove Tour at the Kilim Geoforest Park

Here's the links for the 1st 3 days in Langkawi
1.
Langkawi Day 1 - The journey
2.
Langkawi Day 2 - Pulau Payar
3. Langkawi Day 3 - Oriental Village/ Geopark Gunung Machinchang

Well its day 4 also the last day of my Langkawi Trip(day 5 spent going home), mom and me went for the mangrove tour at Kilim Geopark.
It was a wet and cold day due to the rain that came off and on but nevertheless we had a good time. The day started at 9am. The shuttle came to pick us up and brought us to the mangrove jetty point.
Me cam-whoring in the shuttle.
Well driving around in the rural parts of Langkawi you'll get to see a lot of fields of Padi. This is the whole area of the KILIM KARST GEOFOREST PARK.
Well our guide for the day is Mr. Micheal.
First thing we did when we got on the boat is actually Monkey feeding.
The Monkeys very daring oh... and can swim also... as you can see...

Then we had our youngest member on the boat... Ahmad from Palestine...
He's so cute and such a happy baby.

Then we travelled down river. Got to see the mangroves. Mangroves are very important part of the eco system and its the only plant that can actually filter saltwater into fresh water.
The scenery is breath taking if you like nature. It's like travelling down the GuLin river in China.
First stop we made was at a fish farm. Got to see a few critters like the archer fish, sting rays, groupers, etc etc.... some you get to touch them hands on.

Then the weather got wet. As you can see its RAINING!
So we had to wait at the fish farm.
While waiting other guest entertain themselves with chinese chess.

And mom is having an EYE POPPING experience??? LOL

When the rain stop we went into the crocodile cave. Unfortunately crocodiles no longer in habit in this cave due to the rapid change of the eco system and weather.
Then we sped of to the Eagle feeding grounds...

You can see the eagle came down to get their food.

Then after that we went to see the star of this Geoforest park, the limestome formation which was acknowlegde by UNESCO. But, we had to leave early because it started to pour heavily again!
So we sped off to the Bat cave... The entrance is kind of low and you have to like limbo through it. In the cave you can see well of course BATS and Limestone formations as well. Sorry no pictures for this one...
Note: Bats are sensitive to light!
Oh well that's the end of my Langkawi Trip. I had a good time there. I would recomend to those who are nature lovers. You'll enjoy the beauty.

Langkawi - Day 3 - Oriental Village/Geopark Gunung Machinchang

Day 3 at Langkawi
I drove up to Gunung Machinchang where the Oriental Village, Geopark and the cable car is situated at. Its a windy road up. So for you peeps who plan to go please plan yourself and drive safe!

Note: DO NOT GO THERE IF ITS A RAINY OR CLOUDY DAY BECAUSE THE CABLE CAR AND THE SUSPENSION BRIDGE WILL BE CLOSED!

Well the first thing I notice when I walked in was the sign below...
JALAN DANG WANGI!

Well besides that its a charming little place.

Mom excited!

The weather wasn't so good (as you can see the picture), so the cable car and the bridge was temporary closed.
So while we wait we went around exploring.

Well as I say everything looks nice and charming even the WASHROOM is...
YY check out the toilet man... got personal fountain leh! better than your Indon toilet... WAKAKAK and it cost 30sen ONLY!!! LOL!!!

The place is covered with streams of lillies.

This is actually a hotel. Nice huh???!!!

Mom sempat posing.

Beautiful Lilies.

After that we went to the petting zoo. Fed the deers and rabbits.

When the weather cleared up, we went on the cable car.

Warning its not for those who actually have a fear of heights or for those who gets sick easily when you are swayed in a cable car! The ride was a little scary because of the strong wind the car was literally swaying side to side, up and down. NOTE THE WEATHER WARNING ABOVE.

Me muka ketat while in the cable car.

View from inside the cable car.

The view from the first stop.

The highest point is 710 meters above sea level.

Walking to one of the look out points.

At the look out point.

For smokers its bad news for you... LOL note the sign below, it says
NO SMOKING! PLEASE ENJOY THE FRESH AIR!

The wind is very strong up there. As you can see my hair is a total mess.
Make sure you wear something that can keep you a warm don't be a hero like me wear jumper skirt. It's COLD.
>.<

The view of the bridge.

It says on a clear day you can get to watch the beautiful sunset.

Unfortunately this is what I got to see.

REMEMBER DO NOT GO UP ON A BAD WEATHER!!
To get to the bridge we had to track a number of stair through the forest.

Getting there is easy getting back walking back up the stairs is a little tiring.

On the bridge

The pillar which is holding the bridge.

A clearer view of the bridge.

Its a must visit place for all of you who plans to go to Langkawi!
