Roses From Who???

I received like 2 dozen of roses this afternoon and it didn't say who was it from... I'm happy at the same time scared and disturbed; and its troubling me...

= some of the roses too many for a vase =

To who ever sent the pretty roses thank you but please do let me know who you are.

a weekend at singapore - F1 Grand Prix

I'm home from Singapore and what a weekend I had.
Since the F1 Singapore Grand Prix was going on. It was a hectic weekend at Singapore. I went shopping with my sis, bro in law and my baby niece and the roads were full of people its like walking in the streets of tokyo and new york during peak hours except that from daylight to night time the streets was still full of people at orchard and other shopping districts. What a traffic on 2 legs!

Well besides that there was freebies give aways on the streets as well. And shopping anywhere is crazy because there was a sale of some what going on; and everything was going out like for free! Hehehe...
oh well I got a few things for myself too like an armani exchange black top for SGD 30, a white baby doll top from cotton on for like SGD 5; and a white gown skirt by daniel yam for SGD 29 for my photo shoot. Well the whole family went shopping crazy... because its CHEAP!

Anyways besides shopping we manage to catch the F1 race as well. The first night race on a 1 of only 3 anti-clockwise tracks.

=The view of the track from marina bay=

Bro in law got to see it live and the rest of us was watching at home... which was an even better view. Thumbs Up to the broadcasters. Good coverage of the race, great composition of shots and great scenery.

=Passing by the old court house=

Best F1 race I have seen on TV!

Migrants and all, we're all Malaysians... the best column I have read this past week

This is the best column I have read this past weeks of politic bickering amongst our nations-men by Kallimullah Hassan (The Colour of Malaysia) on the New Sunday Times. (do read the column for yourself)

Well the column was based on this picture by Lat. The Community Taking Shelter Under the Malaysian Flag.

This is my views to tell... some lines derived from the column stated above.

a verse from the national flag (jalur gemilang) song that should be practised

"JALUR GEMILANG DIBAWAH NAUGANMU, JALUR GEMILANG KAMI SEMUA BERSATU"

"JALUR GEMILANG BENEATH YOUR CARE, JALUR GEMILANG WE UNITE"

Its a sad day for us Malaysians when we have come to the stage where desperate politicians in Malaysia have the tendency to resort to using race and religion to shore themselves up.

"What happen to unity amongst everyone and work for the better for all?"

"Why categorizing us by colour, race or religion?"

Take our current prime minister for example, On his mother's side he has chinese blood. On his father's side he has arab and malay blood. SO what is he? His late wife Datin Seri Endon Mahmood was born to a malay father and a Japanese mother. SO putting them together and their children Nori and Kamal, both often mistaken as chinese. SO What are they?

They are ALL MALAYSIANS!!!!!

Our 1st prime minister was part Thai; the 2nd Bugis; the 3rd is part Turkish; the 4th is of indian descent and the 5th is a mixture of Chinese, Malay and Arab.

Now its sounds like we are all migrants?

So WHO ARE THE MALAYSIANS?

Even I myself don't look like an authentic chinese. I have friends of all sorts of mixture and we call ourselves MALAYSIANS looking past the race, ethnicity, colour, language and religion. We learn together and work together as a team.

This is a picture of us having a concert together bringing all culture and making beautiful music TOGETHER AS ONE.

DO WE LOOK ANY DIFFERENT????

To all Politicians and Leaders of the Country, you should remember the PLEDGE OF OUR NATION, that we recite ever so proudly. The 5 AMBITIONS we lay our pledge on...

BAHAWASANYA NEGARA KITA MALAYSIA mendukung cita-cita hendak:

-MENCAPAI PERPADUAN yang LEBIH ERAT dikalangan SELURUH MASYARAKATNYA;

- MEMELIHARA SATU CARA HIDUP DEMOKRATIK;

- MENCIPTA SATU MASYARAKAT ADIL dimana KEMAKMURAN NEGARA akan DINIKMATI BERSAMA secara ADIL dan SAKSAMA;

- KELUHURAN PERLEMBAGAAN

- KEDAULTAN UNDANG-UNDANG

- KESOPANAN DAN KESESUSILAAN

Literal translation in English

WHEREAS OUR COUNTRY MALAYSIA NURTURES THE AMBITION OF:-

- ACHIEVING A MORE PERFECT UNITY AMONGST THE WHOLE OF HER SOCIETY;

- PRESERVING THE DEMOCRATIC WAY OF LIFE

- CREATING A JUST SOCIETY where the PROSPERITY OF THE COUNTRY CAN BE ENJOYED IN A FAIR AND EQUITABLE MANNER

- GUARANTEEING A LIBERAL APPROACH TOWARDS HER RICH AND VARIED CULTURAL TRADITIONS; and

- BUILDING A PROGRESSIVE SOCIETY that makes use of science and technology.

NOW THEREFORE WE, THE PEOPLE OF MALAYSIA, PLEGDE TO CONCENTRATE ALL OF OUR ENERGY AND EFFORTS TO ACHIEVE THIS AMBITIONS BASED ON THIS PRINCIPLES:-

- BELIEVE IN GOD

- LOYALTY TO THE KING AND COUNTRY

- THE SUPREMACY OF THE CONSTITUTION

- THE RULE OF LAW

- COURTESY AND MORALITY

A CRY TO POLITICIANS and LEADERS OF MALAYSIA BE THAT ROLE MODEL! RESTORE THAT GLORY OF "MERDEKA" AND NURTURE THE SACRED AMBITIONS THAT OUR COUNTRY-MEN PLEDGE UPON!!!! FOR US AND THE FUTURE GENERATIONS OF MALAYSIA!

This jumpy, out-going, running around and busy Anne (me) is currently pretty much stuck at home in her mini studio doing her final project (PeTA). Sitting in front of her imac and laptop for 13 hours everday (excluding tuesdays and wednesdays because classes) doing her music compositions and music arrangements. Instead of the usual anne out and about. =_="

Happy Mid Autumn Festival

Happy Mid Autumn Festival !!!

yes its that time of the year again... where when I was a kid I use to look forward to it. Paper Lanterns, candles, mooncakes, pameloes and the best part we get to stay out late and walk around in the dark with only a lit paper lantern in our little hands with a bunch of friends. Not to mention playing with fire hahahha... no worries its under adult supervision that time... Lol...

During this time as well chinese friends and family will gather to admire the bright mid autumn harvest moon. Well lets say good old fashion friends and family bonding time ^^

Unfortunately this year its kind of downy gloom night because it rained really heavy. Oh well that doesn't stop me from cheering the places up by putting up paper lanterns on my balcony... ^^

The neighbouring kids went Wooo wow... pretty... even though it was a few lanterns lesser than 2 years back but never the less it brought smiles

- this was exactly 2 years back my younger nephew brandon says "I'm the light of the world!"

- and I have been tagged along... LOL -

- and PoPo (mom) too -

- this year few lanterns -

- and this year my dragon and doreamon joined the team hahaha I found them in a box of memories -

Well I think traditions like this should be preserved in the family because nowadays kids only sit in front of the computer and doesn't know the meaning of family and friendship.

every cloud has a silver lining

Things are getting better for me as they seem to be. :)

Even last night I caught a slight head cold and a fever and then this morning I lost my voice but I'm recovering.

Things at university are starting to clear up.

Things are coming back to normal.

And a lesson learned from all these...

"THINGS ARE ONLY AS GOOD OR AS BAD AS YOU MAKE THEM SEEM."

I Pay for Service and I Get SAMAN????

YES YES... INDAH WATER sorry to Say Your SERVICE STINKS

You all must be wondering what's the commotion about. Well today INDAH WATER came to pay me a visit with a SAMAN and a court order if I don't pay up. They claim my house hasn't been paying for the service they provide. BUT the thing is I pay every time. And this guy from Indah water keep insisting when its not even on my name, some guy (mohd shafie) but on my house address. I was like WTF??? You want to saman me and its not even on the correct owners name.

So fine I was nice enough to explain to the guy that they got the wrong house because I just payed the bill and there's no previous owner that's called mohd shafie, I'm the only owner. And, I have been living in this house for 20 years even before Indah Water came up. I showed them my receipt for paying and they tell me hmmm it must be a misunderstanding. So situation settled or so that is what I thought.

Later in the evening, I checked my post box and OH JOY... they left the saman in my post box. =_=" I'm practically annoyed!!!! I spent like half an hour explaining they got this wrong and I don't know whether they are just F***in LAZY or STUPID to insist on this.

WHAT KIND OF PEOPLE DO YOU ACTUALLY HIRE, INDAH WATER???

This is such an inconvenience! Not only I have to make my way to damansara to settle this but to spend time settling this matter when the fault is not even mine!

Midnight memoirs

Is He?

Could just a kiss tell you that he is the one,

To, not just be pleasurable;

But, that spark, that connection, of two souls,

Together.

Travelling a timeless space of forever.

In that moment, you have never felt so whole.

You have found that missing piece.

And, After that,

All you ever want is that kiss,

from that sweet lips of ecstasy.

Heaven in reality.

Muse

A muse to me.

He plays the piano with no doubts.

I lay watching from the corner.

Listening to his soul soar.

Singing through his fingers,

My soul drifts.

My heart races and stops.

Following his momentum.

Sweet melody together in harmony.

My Muse.

illegal immigrant scare

It was a fine morning at my apartment till late morning turned into a drama scene when i heard thing fell from the top floor of the building. At first, I thought some movers dropped some stuff from the top floor but then the sound of stuff breaking and people yelling got louder. So I went out to the corridor to check out whats going on and less than a sec a big flower pot fell in front of me. I was like WTF!!!... and more pots and other stuff came flying down. The neighbours was out and mom came out. Everyone told the guy not to throw stuff and instantly he threw the pots at everyone. Then started aiming at peoples cars from the balcony.

=my upper neighbour's house got victimised=

=the view from in front of my house=

So we called the police because the situation was getting out of hand. The guy was an illegal immigrant from Myanmar who just came into Malaysia! He was dead drunk and high on drugs and was very angry. Anyways around 5 people made the call to 999 their response was so slow that we have to call the local areas police station. Took them nearly 45 mins to get here when the nearest police station is 5 mins away.

The guy got arrested. Then we had to make a the report which took us the whole day. (I just got back from the police station) And when we got back the entire apartment was in a mess everywhere had glass, pots, soil, plants, etc etc.... so have to clean up the mess!

Now the community here is very concern of the foreigners staying here. Its not we don't want to be welcoming or courteous to them but they are causing lots of unwanted problems to the community. It so happens it back to school week that no children is playing at the lower ground if not someone would have got badly injured or maybe died!

visiting alex and malacca

I just got back from malacca for the weekend. Decided to head down to visit Alex who I haven't met up since ages.
Anyways Alex showed me around town for sight seeing eg: christ church, st. paul's church (more like a tomb), menara taming sari (which was kind of a total waste of money because it was a really fast ride and not exactly a spectacular view), went shopping at jonkers walk and etc etc.

=christ church=

The best part of the trip was the food at the portugese settlement, good food with a great atmosphere of the seaside and of course great company (Alex). ^-^

=alex goofing around with the hat=

Overall I had a great time! Really nice short break to take my mind of stress.

Thank you Alex for inviting me over... Big Hugs and Kisses for you ^-^
