Langkawi - Day 3 - Oriental Village/Geopark Gunung Machinchang

Day 3 at Langkawi
I drove up to Gunung Machinchang where the Oriental Village, Geopark and the cable car is situated at. Its a windy road up. So for you peeps who plan to go please plan yourself and drive safe!

Note: DO NOT GO THERE IF ITS A RAINY OR CLOUDY DAY BECAUSE THE CABLE CAR AND THE SUSPENSION BRIDGE WILL BE CLOSED!

Well the first thing I notice when I walked in was the sign below...
JALAN DANG WANGI!

Well besides that its a charming little place.

Mom excited!

The weather wasn't so good (as you can see the picture), so the cable car and the bridge was temporary closed.
So while we wait we went around exploring.

Well as I say everything looks nice and charming even the WASHROOM is...
YY check out the toilet man... got personal fountain leh! better than your Indon toilet... WAKAKAK and it cost 30sen ONLY!!! LOL!!!

The place is covered with streams of lillies.

This is actually a hotel. Nice huh???!!!

Mom sempat posing.

Beautiful Lilies.

After that we went to the petting zoo. Fed the deers and rabbits.

When the weather cleared up, we went on the cable car.

Warning its not for those who actually have a fear of heights or for those who gets sick easily when you are swayed in a cable car! The ride was a little scary because of the strong wind the car was literally swaying side to side, up and down. NOTE THE WEATHER WARNING ABOVE.

Me muka ketat while in the cable car.

View from inside the cable car.

The view from the first stop.

The highest point is 710 meters above sea level.

Walking to one of the look out points.

At the look out point.

For smokers its bad news for you... LOL note the sign below, it says
NO SMOKING! PLEASE ENJOY THE FRESH AIR!

The wind is very strong up there. As you can see my hair is a total mess.
Make sure you wear something that can keep you a warm don't be a hero like me wear jumper skirt. It's COLD.
>.<

The view of the bridge.

It says on a clear day you can get to watch the beautiful sunset.

Unfortunately this is what I got to see.

REMEMBER DO NOT GO UP ON A BAD WEATHER!!
To get to the bridge we had to track a number of stair through the forest.

Getting there is easy getting back walking back up the stairs is a little tiring.

On the bridge

The pillar which is holding the bridge.

A clearer view of the bridge.

Its a must visit place for all of you who plans to go to Langkawi!

Langkawi - Day 1 - The Journey.

Well on Day 2, Mom and me decided to take a day trip to Pulau Payar, Langkawi Coral.
It was a day of sun, sea, sand and quality time with the fishes! ^^
Well the journey started at 0815am, the bus came to pick mom and me up from the Inn.
Then we left the jetty at 1000am.
What else can I do on the ferry while I get there??? cam whore!!! hahaha

mom and me enjoying the breeze.
Leaving Langkawi Island

We reached Pulau Payar at 1100am.
The Island

The Dock

Well as soon as We got on the dock there was a short briefing. And then, down the water we go!
There's a platform where you can sit on without swiming out to the reef.
The fishes are sure hungry! I got mistaken as bread my middle finger got bitten! Ouch...

Here's a picture of hungry fishes all around me while I was in the water.

There's an observation centre if you can't go down the water.
Unfortunately you don't see much unless someone is feeding the fishes from above.

From the observation centre.

After lunch at 1pm we went up shore for shark feeding. Well not feeding us la!~~~ LOL

There's was only black tip sharks and they are big and FAT!

People are gathering to watch the shark feeding.

Here's the shark feeder.

Here are the black tip sharks.

Here's a clip of the shark feeding... and how close the shark came to me!

Well after that, we had back to the dock for more snorkelling activities.
At 330pm we headed back to Langkawi.

Me signing off for Day 2.

Langkawi - Day 1 - The Journey

It has been 10 years ago since I last stepped foot on Langkawi. So I was very excited to see the place again. Well the journey to Langkawi started at KL Sentral. The train was scheduled to be at 8pm but it got delayed till 930pm due to engine problems. So while I was restlessly waiting I took pictures of the ceiling and played around with my phone features and this is what I got.
Well I decided to take the train because I could comfortably sleep to my destination and the arrival timing is more convenient than arriving at 4am in Kuala Perlis.

This is what the train looked like from the inside.

And this is me playing with the lights... Cam whoring

Went to sleep after buzzing Jeffrey and I woke up at dawn snapped some pictures in the train.
This is at dawn (its not really clear because the train was moving really fast)

This is at day break...

The sun is shining through my window

All you'll get to see when you wake up in the train is beautiful scenery... Very calming and refreshing from the bustling life in the city where u see only concrete.

Fields of Padi.

Me looking out and enjoying the view...

Arrived at Arau 9am then took the Cab to Kuala Perlis Jetty around 920am.
The cab cost RM 24 for the whole cab they don't charge by meter or per person.
Then took the ferry at 10am and arrived in Langkawi at 11am.
By the time I got my rental car it was already 12pm. I drove all the way to Pantai Cenang where my hotel is located at. Mom and me stayed at Nadias Inn for the first 3 days and we moved on to town on the 4th day to Hotel Bella Vista.
Well we couldn't do much on the first day except drive around and explore the island.
In the evening we stopped at a Pasar Malam. Bought some fruits.

As you can see lots of varieties for you to choose from.

Later before sunset, Me and mom strolled down the famous Pantai Cenang.

charming little chalet at the beach
Mom and me Cam whoring XD

Here are some pictures of the sunset.

Quarantine

Finally I got to spend time with my dearest Jeffrey.
Its a busy hectic month for him but he made time for me... *hugs and sayang dearest*

Anyways we went to leisure mall to catch a movie and we watched Quarantine.
Hmm... don't waste your time watching it because the storyline sucked! and it was all based on a camera recording the whole event so you'll practically get a headache as well after watching it. For the girls, I don't think you'll like the movie besides scaring yourselves, the movie is filled with blood and gore. I nearly felt sick. Its a 2 thumbs down for me.
CRAPPY CHEAP MOVIE!!

quite possibly the best horror film??? NOT!!!

this movie has been QUARANTINED!!!

let the spirit of xmas begin with charity

Sorry for the late post up on the Xmas charity event...
Was so busy with studies and exams...then I had to wait and sort the pictures out...

Anyways this Christmas season we started off the advent month with charity.
The church held a charity event with the theme "let the spirit of Xmas begin with charity"
So the event was actually to adopt children for a day and let them have fun and the proceeds of the bazaar goes to the church building fund. So its like hitting 2 birds with one stone.

The event was a Christmas bazaar. It started at 830am till 5pm. They sold everything from Xmas stuff, to food, to homemade pantries, to arts and craft, 2nd hand goods and etc (well basically anything that is sell able and has a high value). Besides that, there's costume competition, performances, lucky draws, bingo, games... etc...

Well enough of me talking... I'll just let the pictures do the talking now...
as they say a picture is worth a thousand words. ^^ *giggles*
some part of the stalls...people busy buying food and stuffGames of luck and skills...

costume competition- the kids have to win the judges votes.
you see that small boy there... he's the only boy in the competition and boy he can boogie

strawberry chocolate fondue... ANYONE??

Father Valentine cooking for charity... "RM 10 for my food"...
for 10 bucks its worth it... he's a good cook I tell you!!!
not forgetting the Christmas carollers
the youth was working so hard that they decided to have fun themselves and the inflatable castle became their MANGSA.
when they were done with it... the animals weren't standing anymore...
hahaha *you buffaloes took all the air out of the castle*
no worries all went back to normal after a few minute

The youth musician network entertained us as well

the other youths group picture

Me... signing off for the day....
its was a tiring day but its all worth it for the children...
to see their smiling faces on this christmas season.
