Whirling Dervishes - Istanbul - Day 1 - End

Well after a little sight seeing and dinner. Me and mom headed to the Hodjapasha Art and Culture center to watch the Turkish Mystic Music & Dance- Sufi Music Concert and The Whirling Dervishes Ceremony.

The Sema (whirling Ceremony) is a spiritual journey
In words of Melvana:
If you entered the Sema you will leave both worlds: the world of Sema is outside
both worlds.

The Mutrip

-The chanter-

-The Semazen-

The Sema
From God we receive, to man we give; we keep nothing to ourselves

End of the day at 830pm Istanbul
the days are longer during Summer in Istanbul. ^^

An idea of what the ceremony is like. Look at this video taken by someone else.
